About

Just Curves blog is the brainchild (poor thing) of Sandra Chandler aka Sandy Chandler aka Sandra Lawhon aka the creator of the Curve Master Presser Foot.  My purpose is to post photos, videos, stories, and ideas from my travels throughout the national and international quilt show and teaching circuit of 30+ shows a year.  I will not be selling or otherwise browbeating you about the Curve Master.  For that you need to go to my website, http://www.justcurves.biz   ;-)

    Dear Sandy,

At the Festival of Quilts in August this year when you were demonstrating the Curve Master Presser Foot, I overheard a couple of people in your audience wondering if it was as easy to use and produce good results as you, the expert, made it look. I was very happy to tell them that I’d bought the Curve Master when it was first launched (which must have been about eight years ago) and yes, it was easy to learn to use and quickly get fantastic results. I hadn’t realised until you said, that it was YOU who had created the Curve Master, so it was great to meet the actual inventor (you clever person)! I promised I’d leave a comment on your blog to this effect, so here you are. A definite endorsement of the Curve Master!

    • Lynnne, I remember this, and I thank you again for your lovely comments. All of our growth has come from word-of-mouth by satisfied users who tell others. Hope to see you again next year!

  2. Hi Sandy,
It was lovely meeting you at the Craft Show in Brisbane today. I just L.O.V.E. your Curve Master foot! I promised to pop into your blog, so here I am and now you will have the link to my blog where I talk about my Civil War blocks and in particular the Indiana Puzzle block where I was able to use the Curve Master foot (for the first time) and how I was totally wowed by how easy it was to use and how successful my first block turned out!!

Thank you so much for inventing such a “cool tool”!!

    • Thanks Helen, so good to meet you too. I will take a look at your blog when I get home from Brisbane (iPhones are great but I like a big screen to enjoy blogs) and hope my readers will too!

  3. Sandra, thank you so much for your prompt reply. I feel so dumb! I had tried what you told me to do before but couldn’t get it to work. Then this morning when I went to my sewing machine and put the foot on just like you said and now everything works perfectly. I just did a couple straight lines as I have an appointment this morning, but can’t wait to get back and try some curves. Thank you so much.
    Caroll
